...lovebirds...

The land that is not

(Edit Södergran, 1925)

In the land that is not -- there walks my love with a glittering crown.

Who is my love?

The night is dark -- and the stars quiver in answer.

Who is my love? What is her name?

The heavens arch higher and higher,

and a child of man is drowned in endless mists...

...and knows no answer.

But a child of man is nothing but certainty,

and it stretches its arms higher than all heavens.

And there is an answer:

I am the one you love,
and always will love.

Ann-Louise left me at 1:40 pm on July 27, 1995 after nearly one year of pain and agony, caused by cancer in her skeleton. Since then I'm not quite sure of the meaning of life any more, but I'm still hoping that my regret's, in time may be replaced by something that proves to be as valuable as she was.

She spent all of her active life to help and care for mentally retarded children, and was also an active member of "The International Red Cross". They may welcome some help at times, if you would like to care for any of their activities.
